We stayed here in our travel trailer the end September 2023. The campground was beautiful, staff friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The fall colors were amazing! We love having the horses on property along with the petting farm. The campground is large enough to take longer walks and just enjoy nature. We would highly recommend this campground! And be sure to go to the pancake breakfast. Yummy!

We love coming here every year to spend time together. The campsites are very nice with lots of trees. The bathrooms/showers are amazing and kept clean. There is horseback riding and an area that you are able to pet pigs, sheep, goats and other animals. It is all along the river so the kiddos can play/fish and spend the whole day without leaving the campsite. We love it here! Thank you!

We stayed at the Winchester, and it was incredible. Very well decorated with all the props . Need to have better lighting in the unit, and better ventilation in loft to keep from getting incredibly hot up there I truly believe that you should let your guests know the condition of the trails. especially that you were aware we were bringing up our four wheeler’s. Over 90% of the trails are gone and the trails that are there are incredibly rocky and bumpy that you could not enjoy yourself. Also, you should notify your guest that you have no cable just to be courteous.

Our family has come to love Winding River. We make 2 to 3 trips a year up there and always enjoy our stay. The staff is welcoming and helpful, the sites are clean and beautiful. We also enjoy the proximity to town. We'll keep coming back!! Thanks again.

Your resort is fabulous!! We had 30+ women in campers and tents for a 3 day weekend. The sites were great, really nicely spaced. The new restrooms, showers and rental center are awesome. Everyone was wonderful to work with to make our time special. I will certainly come again for the camping experience.

Came to Winding River Resort with a group of friends with our horses to ride and relax. Facilities were clean and well organized. It was nice to be able to take a shower in very nice building after a ride. Trails were nice but, limited due to a fire in the area in 2020. The only thing I was concerned about was horse sites being with family camp sites and small children around horses. Yes, I would go back.

We brought our 3 grand daughters, ages 5, 9, and 11, to trailer camp at Winding River. It was a perfect place for kids with a playground, corn hole, animal farm, a general store, and helpful staff. We especially enjoyed the trail ride and our friendly wrangler. The shower facilities and restrooms were in excellent condition.. I was amazed to see how the East Troublesome fire bypassed much of the resort leaving trees and buildings untouched, whereas the adjacent national forest and park were heavily burned. We enjoyed having easy access to Grand Lake, too.

So so fun!!!! Cindy the fat mini horse and Mindy the rotund donkey were our favorite part of the trip. They love apples and so do all the horses. For animal lovers this place rocks!!!! Our dog franny was completely jealous the entire time of Cindy and Mindy!!!! Made the trip that much more fun and hilarious. Thanks again to the staff of winding river! See you again next year
